Face Lift

What is Face Lift?

A facelift is a surgical procedure performed to reduce the effects of aging and rejuvenate facial features. This procedure reduces sagging skin, wrinkles, and improves the definition of facial contours, resulting in a younger and more dynamic appearance.

Why is it done?

Facelift surgery is used to treat the following conditions:

Treatment Process

Assessment: First, a detailed consultation is conducted with the patient. During this stage, the patient’s expectations and facial anatomy are evaluated. The surgeon determines whether a facelift is suitable for the patient.

Preparation: In the pre-operative preparation process, the patient’s general health is assessed, and a suitable date for the surgery is determined. Necessary instructions are given, taking into account factors such as smoking and alcohol consumption before the surgery.

Surgery: A facelift is usually performed under general anesthesia. The surgeon removes excess skin and fat from the face and neck, tightens the underlying muscles, and repositions the skin. Incisions are usually made around the ears and along the hairline to minimize scarring.

Recovery Process: The post-operative recovery process can vary from person to person. Rest is important for the first few days to reduce swelling and bruising. Full recovery can take several weeks. With the care and check-ups recommended by your doctor, the healing process can be accelerated.

Results

The results of a facelift operation leave the skin looking firmer, smoother, and younger. The lasting effects of the surgery can be maintained for a long time with support from lifestyle and skincare.

Risks and Complications

A facelift, like any surgical procedure, carries some risks. These risks may include infection, bleeding, complications from anesthesia, nerve damage, scarring, and asymmetry. An experienced plastic surgeon will take the necessary precautions to minimize these risks and achieve the best possible results.
